Grape Expectations Coral Bells is an evergreen herbaceous perennial with a mounding habit of basal foliage.  The broad round-lobed leaves are grape purple with black veins that earn a silver sheen in the heat of summer before returning to dark purple in fall.  Airy clusters of tiny pinkish-white bell-like flowers bloom in midsummer attracting butterflies.  Best bloom in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.
